BMHAC’s annual Speed Decathlon – a unique combined-events championship attracting athletes from across Europe.
The annual Speed Decathlon competition is hosted by Basingstoke & Mid Hants Athletic Club. The event brings together athletes from across Europe to compete in this combined-events championship.
Athletes progress through events in groups of two or three competitors. Key regulations include:
The team event runs for one hour with teams of 2–4 athletes competing across all 10 events. Team members divide events among themselves, and each event must be done in the correct order. Age and sex-graded scoring applies, allowing mixed-ability teams to compete fairly. Participants may join from different clubs.
